Kubota Tractor Corporation is reaffirming its commitment to building stronger communities through its sixth annual Kubota Hometown Proud® grant program. This year, the company awarded ten grants – each including $25,000 in cash and $25,000 towards the purchase of Kubota equipment – to nonprofits across the country that are spearheading impactful projects locally. One of those grants is awarded to Friends of Greenfield Recreation, partnering with M.B. Tractor & Equipment. The Greenfield Grow and Go project is focused on beautification of Greenfield, MA; a new Kubota RTVX-2C will mobilize its volunteer network to do more

“We’re thrilled to partner with Friends of Greenfield Recreation on this impactful project,” said Brian Langdon of M.B. Tractor & Equipment. “Providing quality equipment to support their grounds maintenance and facility development means we’re directly contributing to the health and vitality of our community. We look forward to supporting them with dependable Kubota equipment for years to come.”

Friends of Greenfield Recreation in Greenfield, Massachusetts, is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting the Greenfield Recreation Department in providing recreational opportunities and outdoor spaces for community members of all ages and abilities; from playgrounds to open spaces, this volunteer-led organization is making their community outdoor spaces accessible and fun.

The Greenfield Grow and Go Project has a core need: equipment to help their volunteer force transport materials and work the land to maintain and grow its park system. With their Kubota Hometown Proud® grant, Friends of Greenfield Recreation plans to use the funds towards a purchase of a Kubota RTVX-2C utility vehicle that will support the development and maintenance of recreational spaces, grounds beautification, and facility improvements for its entire community. This investment will enable the organization to expand its recreational programming, create additional opportunities for community members to engage in outdoor activities, and establish new community gathering spaces that strengthen Greenfield's quality of life.

The 2026 Kubota Hometown Proud grant program received more than 1,100 applications from communities across the country. After a rigorous review process, 10 grant winners were selected, representing diverse community needs from agricultural education and workforce development to food security, youth empowerment, and environmental stewardship. Since its inception, the program has distributed more than $2.9 million in total funding and equipment to hometown projects nationwide.
